Your child will thrive in this child centered learning environment that is created to inspire the imagination and provide exploration opportunities! Your child will learn and play through an abundance of basic open ended materials and ample space to independently explore and create.

We believe that children are active hands-on learners who benefit from an attractive learning environment with an array of materials for children to select and use in open ended ways. We celebrate diversity and respect families as the child’s first educators!

In our 15-month to 2-year-old room, we create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, cherished, and understood. At this age, little ones are discovering themselves and the world around them, and we ensure their days are filled with warmth, predictability, and joy. Our educators intentionally design a calm, welcoming space where children can explore at their own pace while knowing they are supported every step of the way.

Kindness is at the heart of our program. Through simple moments—sharing toys, using gentle hands, and comforting a friend—we guide children to understand empathy and compassion. Educators model positive interactions and help children name their feelings, building the foundation for strong social and emotional wellbeing. These early experiences shape caring learners who feel connected to their world.

Toddlers are naturally curious, and we celebrate this by offering rich, hands-on experiences that encourage children to try new things. From sensory play and early problem-solving to music, movement, and outdoor exploration, each activity is designed to build confidence. We support children to make choices, discover their capabilities, and proudly celebrate their achievements—big and small.

Developing independence is a joyful part of this age group. We provide opportunities for children to practise self-help skills such as feeding themselves, washing hands, tidying toys, and engaging in simple routines. With gentle guidance and encouragement, toddlers learn to trust their abilities and take pride in doing things “all by myself,” fostering resilience and a positive sense of self.

Strong, secure relationships form the backbone of our room. Our educators build meaningful bonds with each child through responsive interactions, shared play, and consistent care. We value open communication with families and work together to support each child’s journey. These relationships create a sense of belonging that helps children thrive, explore confidently, and feel deeply connected within our community.
